Next up is an older fellow near the far railing. Looks like he’s trying to take a picture with a smartphone. It wasn’t windy that day so he must be trying to compose the picture or maybe just trying to see the picture on the screen. His back is to the Sun so trying to see anything on the screen is problematic. Also you just see some kind of bag over his shoulder. Could the old fellow have a real camera in the bag?
Next we have a family of three. One child. Is this now the norm? Mom, dad, and one child. The child is learning to drive and the one important driving tool is the horn. Looks like he has one. Oh boy.
Lastly on the right we have what I would call a real couple. No smartphones just the two talking to each other. Looking at each other. Now that’s a real couple. They may be real but it is a fading concept in the age of the smartphone.
Note on Blog Status: Obiviously I haven’t been posting much here. Pictures go up on flickr and Instagram (Links to those sites are in the sidebar.) So I’m going to try and make an effort to put commentary here. I’m not a writer so this is a slow process for me.
Photograph was taken at the Santa Monica pier. For candid (Street) photography this is a fun place to go to.
